ABOUT ME

By 22 I was in a position where I was working with some of the world’s biggest brands running multi-million-pound partnerships.

But my path to success was unlikely.

Growing up in Croydon, the cards were stacked against me; I was dyslexic, had no money and found school hard. Yet I had grit and determination, and I knew there had to be other ways forward.

Starting a digital marketing apprenticeship was transformational for me. I was able to learn and showcase my talents before being headhunted for a top role.

This ignited a desire to empower others like me which manifested as my inspirational Youth Unlocked project.

Alongside my full-time job, I now support young people looking to start a career in a creative space by equipping them with the tools they need, as well as brands interested in connecting with this demographic through my content creation on TikTok and Instagram.

MY VALUES

COMMUNITY THROUGH CREATION

Lockdown sucked for everyone but over Zoom and Teams meetings I discovered how hard my gen-z peers from underrepresented backgrounds found it to navigate through the world of work virtually.

I created Youth Unlocked, a project to build a supportive, inclusive community during lockdown. From mental health to developing a next-level business idea, my Youth Unlocked events, podcasts and motivational morning calls for ambitious young adults caught national interest and took off in a way I could only dream of.

THE HUSTLE IS REAL

THE
HUSTLE
IS REAL

I like to show people that no matter their background, everyone can bring something to the table. I firmly believe everyone has a talent and that it should be nurtured to thrive.

Whether speaking in schools or consulting, I seek to empower young people to show them that by being hungry and working hard there is a way from the streets to the boardroom. I coach that challenges and adversity are strengths and opportunities to be seized and used constructively to propel people forward.

EVERYONE DESERVES A SEAT AT THE TABLE

Whilst I recognise the benefits of higher education, it is not the right path for everyone. I am living proof of the power of apprenticeships. For those who are visual learners or prefer a practical, hands-on way of training, apprenticeships are a meaningful way for them to harness their hustle.

My strong advocation for apprenticeships has led me to deliver a TEDx talk about why they are so worthwhile, and in 2022 I was recognised as one of Campaign Media Week’s 30 Under 30.
